Do you donate products?

We cooperate with more than 425 soup kitchens and other entities all over Spain to daily provide the products we withdraw from the sales shelves, but that may still be consumed: https://info.mercadona.es/es/actualidad/donaciones-de-alimentos/new-tag

Expired products that cannot be consumed are taken off the shelves and recycled, to give them other uses, such as energy generation or composting, among others.

On the other hand, we are also committed to working with Food Banks in the food collections, that have been carried out and are still ongoing, in cities all over Spain. We provide the volunteers with the use of our supermarkets as well as our logistic resources.
